Hive Assembly Phase I

I picked up my hive components last weekend and the first phase of assembly is underway!

I ordered enough pieces for three hives of two deep brood boxes and two medium supers. Each are eight frames. Included are screened bottom boards, entrance reducers, inner covers, and outer covers for each hive. I also bought three hive top feeders to help with spring and fall feeding. The included frames have wired-wax foundation.

The cover picture shows partial assembly of one of the deep boxes. This picture gives an idea of the amount of material required for three hives. Some extends beyond the frame of the picture.

I'll post more pictures as assembly progresses. I plan to have all the supers assembled this week so I can focus on frames next weekend. Then, all that will be left is to pain in early April!
