Second Brood Boxes

After installing about a month ago, it was time to add a second brood box and take off the feeders this week. Each hive is growing well--some faster than others--but looks like everything is on track in each one. The queens are laying, nectar and pollen is flowing, and new bees continue to emerge from their cells.

The seven-year-old finally got into things this week by manning the smoker at the first inspection of the day!
